bit chilly but trying to get a quick load !

docks are empty but still i sit for 2hrs till they decide to load me

so it’s off to burton on trent, just past brampton hut on A14 and it looks like someones having a barbecue

someone is going to be waitng a while for them cars on that transporter
Get onto the M6 and just past J1 more mayhem

this time its a 7.5 ton truck with the front end demolished hopefully
the driver was ok.
Finally arrive at burton on time and its a nice easy 30min tip

try my luck getting a reload here but they send me away ■■■■ shame

I hang around outside ever optimistic but its not going to happen.

on the way out now unloading in the same place i was is this “F” Line
scania, Ido know the story behind that shipping line but another time

Instead its over to freightliner hams hall to get empty 40ft off an 20ft on to
reload in morning in birmingham.

two an a half hrs later i out the gate at hams hall

Make my way to birmingham truckstop ! not been here before so follow the signs an decide to take lots of pics of anything decent.

looks like my ship has come in

one more queue to get out an i can head off for coalville to tip tomorrow (weds)

decide to park at red lodge for some food

good bit of parking from a.m.p.s.

see this old FH parked up could do with a polish

and look who climbs out of it its MR Vain, his shiny scanny is in for bodywork after going 3 rounds with stevie wonder the fork lift driver :sunglasses:

have me tea and Mr Vain decides to regale us all with some stories
so we wait till he nips to the loo and…

we all beat a hasty retreat to the pub

9am and stop at emmas just off J22 of M1 now this is good value and a decent size meal.

get to coalville opens the doors and oops looks like bedtime

all done but now i notice whats on the back doors

this can only mean one thing at least a 3/4 hr tip

the bods in warehouse say about 4hrs so its time for…

deliver to sttingbourne and the empties going to tilbury

through the pipe

arrive at tilbury and … yep join the queue

waiting to get my empty off
then load one on for 9am bolton
on monday morn

through the outgate an its back to felixstowe again

not a bad average for the week
thank you and goodnight.

YOU ROTTEN GIT!

Thats it tony, thats war!

but wouldn’t you like to average 9.7 mpg

Icy says yr average

you’re lucky i was going to take a pic of your spanish omelette but only had a 1gb memory card in my camera. don’t know where you put it all (hold on just had another look at your pic now i do)

I know it aint your problem but when the little chinaman opens that container of scrap it must hurt :stuck_out_tongue:

Or do they just unload them the same way?

they drop the whole lot in the melting pot container an all
they are trashed when they drop all the scrap in them
so its cheaper to just make a new one.

Great post ,I had forgotton what pain FX could be .I was with Maritime & their depot on I o G was nothing but a damp patch in the wilderness ;no pubs or food. It must have taken weeks to upload all those snaps .

Great pics there buddy.

See there was one of our Greene King boys parked in Red Lodge.

I love it there when it rains, you just swim across the truck-park. I can’t eat there any more though. Not since the ‘Spanish Omlette Incident.’ :frowning:

only takes about 20mins to upload 100 if you do 20 at a time.

Which set-up do you use ? I use Photobucket to upload but to download to TN I can only 1 @ a time & thats where the time is taken up.

i use p/b as well and you can d/load the whole lot in one go if you use img’s

OK , I will try it next time .

I like the way EMR put their motor in all the steel for loading and bring your box to you, Sims’s down Long Marston was a pain for punctures.

Good read and pics, almost makes me want to get on the boxes again.
