THE name of the man who died in a collision on the M6 near Rugby has been confirmed as Darren Bridges, of Flitwick, Bedford.
Mr Bridges, 45, died on the southbound carriageway of the M6 motorway between junction one and the Catthorpe Interchange on Monday morning.
Mr Bridges was driving a Renault artic lorry with a white cab and blue curtain sided trailer with Sibley Haulage, which was in collision with a Volvo artic with a white cab and white trailer in Morrison’s markings.
He sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
The driver of the other lorry was not physically injured but suffered from shock as a result of the incident.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was travelling along the M6 in either direction between 11am — 11.30am who may have seen the two lorries that were travelling southbound, prior to the collision taking place.
i can’t believe they put a new bridge in over the M1 and didn’t sort the actual junction design out.
RIP driver and it won’t be long before this thread is repeated.
