I’m trial ing a new Snooper at work at the moment, it’s truck specific and has a built in dashcam. Apparently my gaffer was impressed with the footage from my personal dashcam of the numpty I ran into three or four weeks ago. (Tbh I think he’s more impressed with the fact that we can recoup the cost of the 26 shot pallets!).
It’s quite a good tool to be fair and hasn’t given me any bum steers yet.
As an aside a solicitors letter arrived at work addressed to me last week. The occupants of the car I hit are sueing me for reckless driving and personal injuries. Apparently they were driving along the A1 when I careered into the back of them at high speed! Obviously they and their legal shysters are unaware of the dashcam footage 
, that will change!
I feel a counter sue coming on; I’m traumatised and have been unable to father children since the incident.

At risk of being pedantic, they don’t ‘‘SEND’’ you anywhere mate, they ADVISE a route, and you as a pro driver decide if it is suitable or not

The guys who get stuck under bridges and wedged in lanes are SENT, well that is their usual defence anyhow.:

You say sanctimonious E8, but I do not claim to be morally superior to anybody if that is your definition.
Ok I admit I aint the most tolerant or tactful of guys 
, and I have never suffered fools gladly…ever.
So I do get really ■■■■■■ with drivers who need everything done for them, do not use any initiative or brain power, and then moan when they are expected to wipe their own arses and clean up after their balls ups.
When I started (during the war ) you HAD to LEARN skills. Where as many drivers today are ■■■■■■ feckless and rely on everybody else and every ■■■■■■ gadget to do the job for them, so they end up entirely ■■■■■■ useless, and virtually unemployable for the rest of their career.
Then you get a combination of that with those type who know it all but in reality know ■■■■ all.
Fortunately for all of us, not all drivers are like that there are still a lot of good lads, old and new, to keep us sane.
I’m resisting the temptation to drop to matey’s level by chucking names around at him, but he appears to epitomise the type I am on about.
Ok I admit, on reflection maybe I was looking for a (friendly) forum type based ‘argument’ after reading his post which slightly annoyed me, …no excuses but not had the best of weeks personally so was less tolerant than usual ,
So if I came across as a sanctimoious arse it was not intentional, so sorry to everybody (except one ) who had to suffer reading my ramblings
But hey! it’s an improvement on my younger days when I would just smack somebody first, then ask questions later so I am improving with the years

Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad week though mate, hope it’s nothing too serious… 
Look on the bright side lads, for the rest of us who don’t follow the little voice in the box, and instead use our noddles eyes and ears and a good helping of common bloody sense as we go about our work, we’ll have jobs as long as we’re still upright.
As a bonus these helpless ones do their bit to keep coppers, highways agency, insurance assessors, wrecker drivers and bodyshop lads and lasses in good jobs too…
