Another SW France Trip..!

Hi heading off down to SW France at end of month 7.5 ton tipper and 3.5ton loaded trailer, normally gone round paris outer ring down A6 to Orleans then south to Toulouse, with it being may day thinking of trying via Rouen, used that way north a couple of times, but last time used paris ring northbound and ended up stuck for over 2 hours, whats your thoughs for southbound ? cost time etc.

Thanks

READ the Eurosticky there is lots of
information on this post which will
help you out also links to a few french
peage sites in english,

The route from Calais - Rouen - Orleans is a good one.
Usually quicker than via Paris and much less stressful.

I always go via Rouen when heading south, getting round Paris is very hit & miss unless you time it for the middle of the night. A much nicer drive in my opinion.

Went north via rouen next to last time and traffic was mad was a friday day time…pretty bad on single carriageway… normally go through Paris night or early morning before 5.30 am last time north at night the ring road closed just as we hit it…for over two hours…Ile see what time finally land in calais, then decide, i find if it is a good run Paris route is farily quick.
