Bad news indeed. Thankfully not as bad as the one in Indiana the other week
i had to go there this morning as we had no official confirmation the festival was cancelled, despite all of us not wanting to go for ethical reasons after what happened, the place was carnage. once i had official confirmation i left the site, and one of the crew with me was involved in a collapse recently in ottowa. this is becoming commonplace now which is not good, i hope this will be the last sort of thing like this
p.s farnboroughboy im hoping reading and leeds get cancelled so i dont have to go as i have heard they are not truck friendly!

Me too, there is something about Reading that makes it the worst festival of the year to get trucks in and rig. There attitude ■■■■■ and it’s always wet.
stageco are saying all there stages are still standing.
whoever hung the video walls off the trees wants shooting

According to one of our drivers who was there, they recorded a wind-speed of 169kph on the main-stage.
The stage itself withstood the wind, Unfortunately, the video screen broke from it’s fixings, and this caused most of the damage.
Although I can’t be sure, i’d very much doubt if the video wall was suspended from the trees. I’ve been going there for many years, and the screens have always been hung from a scaffolding tower situated either side
of the stage.
At least one stage was brought down by a couple of trees that were snapped with the wind speed. Condolences and good luck to all involved.

Also thanks from the rest of you guys for passing info on here , if it was my workmates invoved I’d want to know too .

Really? I’m going as a ■■■■■■ up reveller not as a truck driver I don’t even know where you would enter the site, through the coach park bit?? I see alot of vacuum trucks there practically negotiating their way around pitched up tents
Are both of you parked up for the whole festival when you do them?
