12’6 bridge V 13’9 trailer…
Looks like drivers decided to bang it on break & stay in his cab whilst he waited for the feds to arrive

I used to drop rolonoff skips off and drag them under a 11’ bridge (only road in and out) on their rear rollers before dragging them back on at one time, but never seen anyone try it with a semi trailer
Hi viz = Agency, he’s primed for Stobrats

No mate. He is staying in his cab to keep away from that angry bush that is trying to grab him.
Such a well camouflaged bridge too, something should really be done about their difficult to see warnings.
At least whatever half-price haulier it is was too cheap to put any livery on it, probably in expectation of a pic like this!

There’s even a sign 500 yards before the bridge advising HGVs of the alternative route

Another good public relations exercise, makes you feel proud to be associated with people like this in the “profession”.

Could be writing out his resignation letter, saves getting the sack.
I’ve seen other bridge strikes and the 5th wheel lock has survived stopping the tractor unit in its tracks. Would there be a reason why this one failed and disconnected the trailer?

I suspect Dave will be along shortly and tell us he’s had a few angry bushes take a firm grip of him

The picture quality ain’t great but it looks to me like the whole 5th wheel has been torn off the chassis.
Either way like you say, they usually take a lot more punishment before they fail.

Maybe he planned to get under the bridge by dropping the trailer and pulling it along using its under run bars, like a skidoo.
Looking at the markings on the tank I wonder if that RHD daf is registered in Romania or Bulgaria

Would go some way to explaining why he completely ignored this tiny sign warning of his impending doom…

Aren’t Keith the Thief’s lorries liveried like this? Wouldn’t want to call him half price or half anything [emoji23]
