Not speculating on this incident, but when I drove a grab wagon, I’ve had scaffs walk almost straight under the bucket as I lifted it to the tipper. Not uncommon for them to walk straight behind me whilst reversing and had them nip through narrow gaps when I’ve been moving through site gateways.
Maybe it’s the nature of their work which makes them think no other job is more dangerous?
Tragic.
Didn’t stand a chance & in situations like this there would have been little or no time to prevent it happening
