another noob...

Well I wish I had found this site before the last few weeks… I would have had a much better idea as to what to expect!!! Anyway, ill get on with the intro… name is chris, born on merseyside, grew up in America, brains kicked in at the age of 21, and I realised its full of Americans so I moved back home… still got the funny accent though! Anyway, I passed my class 2 last Friday with 9 minors!!! First go at it too… I’m now booked in on the 24th for my mod2, and found this place when trying to find all that non-existent info that’s not out there.

I’ve been doing security work for the last 3 years, and I’m getting sick of never seeing daylight, never talking to anyone ( cause all my friends sleep at night) and seeing my wife once a fortnight … and doing it all for 6 quid an hour…

Anyway, I want to use my class 2 license to get my foot in the door somewhere to get some experience somewhere and save up for my C+E… but that will have to wait for now… having a car, motorcycle, insurance for both and a hefty rent to pay doesn’t go far on 900 quid a month…

I’ll let you all know how I get on with my module 2, and try to remember some details of it for anyone else going for it…

Hi TokenYank,

Welcome to the site, and good luck with the mod 2 and C+E.

Well done on getting your Cat C first time. As you have found, very little official info is published for CPC 2&4.

If you have the up to date theory book, it has a little bit of info on Mod 2.

If you are confident that you have the theory in your head, then Mod 2 is just putting that knowledge into ‘real life’ scenarios. It is 9 times out of 10 an obvious answer as they are all multiple choice questions.

Read each scenario carefully and disregard the answers that are obviously wrong. Then it will probably leave you one correct and one ‘could be’ answer.

Best of luck and hope that has helped a little.

About what I thought it is going to be… when I did my theory test a couple months ago, I answered all 100 questions in just over 13 minutes and got 1 wrong… so as I see it, if these are anything like, I can take my hour and a half or whatever they give me, and triple check everything twice and then go over them again!!

Thanks for the advice dude!

Don’t I just know it!!! If I’m on the phone or talking about something American, I sound like captain America himself… but have me talk about something English or get a few drinks down me, and I turn into Mr ‘calm down, calm down’

Great for confusing salesmen on the phone… lol
