I was going to ask who you trained with but that might be a bit inapropriate now as I have just ‘knocked’ the methods used…

ive just been reading your list of recommended lgv training schools and the one i trained with is there. i wouldnt hesitate to recommend them too despite the reversing issue

i had a call from my agency a couple of hours ago, they need me again tonight 23.45. it might sound like a stupid request but any tips for night driving

Make sure you’re well rested and pull over if you feel sleepy, otherwise you could be getting a rude awakening :open_mouth:

This goes back to the HGV L plates where drivers got a weeks real life training with blokes on the job. If you screwed up a reverse, a dolly or directions, everyone in the yard would know about it by Saturday morning when you were washing off and greasing up. Either it was endless ribbing or it was a quiet bit of advice and trial and error.

Not everything in the olden days was bad! :stuck_out_tongue:

Most drivers could reverse an artic before they got to the driving schools.
