“Me running out of time on your bay and taking an 11hr leaving you with one less bay to use is your problem” I believe is the right approach to this.
Or there is no next stop because you are the last stop and will have to wait until tomorrow for your stuff or maybe even the day after if the guvnor decides to do some other jobs first.I’m going to find somewhere to park up for my daily rest period having been given the same treatment by all the previous jobs that day.

human nature at its best.

It would’t be so bad if the serving “clerk” women on the other side were ‘Luxury Girl’ lookalike rather than the routine battleaxe types one normally sees in such places…
Actually, even if it were Luxury Girl - I don’t think I could take more than five minutes of that chainsaw voice she’s got…
“Best when not talking” - springs to mind there.

Could you possibly thinking of Angie at a well known rdc in Swindon■■?

That’s fine, I’d live with that. But I’d remind them that if I get there on time, them being short staffed is not my problem. Them being busy is not my problem. Them having nowhere to store my stuff is not my problem. They have one hour to turn me around or I will be leaving and I WILL be billing them.
Companies and bosses in haulage need to grow a backbone and give these places an hour to tip and if it’s not done say right were pulling out you’ve had your chance. B&M manage to tip you efficiently so it’s clearly doable. If all companies came together and started pulling out rather than undercutting each other these places would soon get their act together when they had no stock to sell to their customers.

Ah yes Swindon, Iceland by any chance. The sign would be typical for that dump.
I have found memories of said dump, 13 hours over 2 days.
Yes utter glee when its mentioned.
Al lot of it is TMs though! Had one (years ago) who made a habit of it; ring the company and get a time … then, regardless of the booked time, send you around with the goods. They would then scream blue murder when you were sitting there like a melon for half the day!
Simples… get a booking time. If you are scheduled at x… be there for x. Don’t turn up 5 hours early and whinge!
Sadly I think the majority of drivers are often rude. I see more rude than polite on my travels to RDC’s and factories.
Makes me cringe. I often want to step in and ask why they are like that but I feel it would be met with hostility and I’m getting too old for that ■■■■.
