When I had my TGA my fridge sat on the bunk behind the passenger seat. I’m only short and it stopped me snacking between breaks [emoji12]

A mate was given one of the first DAF SSCs with drawer fridge under bunk. He was quite concerned about keeping his driving licence:
“I can just drove along and get a cold beer out the fridge”…
.
Happily, he avoided the temptation.

Way to go…

robroy, you managed to start ‘fridge ■■■■’.

I weep for the future.

Ours had the fridge drawer but not the compressor or wiring, it was a real handy drawer for maps paperwork, ■■■■ and spare gloves etc.

Rob here’s my 2 fridges

You carry 2 fridges? :open_mouth: …how much food do you take with you ffs?

Not quite as sad and tragic as carrying 2 sat navs though eh?

My built in MAN fridge switches off of I accidentally leave it on over a weekend. I don’t know whether this is a battery protection thing or if it’s the fridge itself having some sort of built in timer. I suspect it’s the former as it has managed to stay on all weekend a couple of times.

My MAN built in fridge I once had, was on 7 days a week, including the weekends it was parked up at home,.and it worked perfectly.
Maybe your batts need changed.

Whatever floats yer boat mate.
I certainly won’t judge you.

If its a Daf fridge then its most definitely the low voltage cut off. Because its an actual proper fridge rather than a glorified coolbox like the MAN’s one, it requires more oomph to run. When I had my XF with a bad battery it would just last over night but really struggle to turn over in the moring, changed to a new one and it ran all weekend at max power.

I stand to be corrected but I’m pretty sure the MAN fridge is an actual fridge. If it’s not then why would you need anymore than what it offers? I can only have the dial turned up about 3/4 before it starts freezing stuff, especially liquids.
I had a cool box a few years ago and that would no way freeze stuff, it struggled to stay cool at all in the summer.

Yep the factory fitted fridge in my MAN was spot on, and it got as cold as you wanted it to.

(Thanks for the info Radar19 btw.)

7days a week would include weekends . . . wouldnt it?

More money saved for the holidays
There is no stopping you in cutting corners even going in on your day off
And you a tramper like you don’t get time on the road to do things like that
Hope your not watching the pennies like this on holidays

Yep, dead right bud…but my point was, (as we were talking about batteries running down and fridges knocking off) that it was on at weekends while parked up, so no charge going to batts…but it still worked.
Hence no comma between the words ‘‘weekends’’ and ‘‘it’’ but one between the words ‘‘home’’ and ‘‘and’’ :bulb: :bulb:
