Another fatality

I live about 5 miles from where this happened but there isn’t much information being released…

thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/ … re/?ref=mr

All I have heard is that he was a milk tanker driver doing farm collections, and was crushed between his vehicle and a wall.
I won’t even start any speculation as to what went wrong…
But it just reminds us that you never know the minute…
R.I.P. driver…

not much being reported on BBC either

R.I.P. Driver

RIP driver what a horrendous way to go.

RIP Driver

And I always thought milk was good for you ! sorry…r.i.p. driver.

R.I.P drive, this is getting too much of a habit now its not good. Poor bugger

Tragic, R.I.P

Bit more info from the News and star here

I read it as he was the farmer and not the driver, but still a tragic loss. I know a lot of the first milk guys at Aspatria so was a worrying few hours!

+1.

I’m on milk collections just now… the amount of farmers, dogs, cats, kids, tractors, quads, etc etc… that just wander about behind/beside you when you’re trying to reverse into a space that’s as tight as a ducks arse, is unreal.

R.I.P driver, our thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends.

I think he was the Driver, in the article linked to the OP, It says he worked with long time friend Charles Payne off Paynes dairy Boroughbridge, and that He used to be a farmer.

Either way its a crying shame, RIP.
