Very strange is it not? A truck driver is killed or dies and there are numerous posts…RIP …Sincere condolences…etc but a cyclist is killed who may have been a truck driver for a living and all most can do is try to blame the cyclist who probably was not at fault.
It really says a lot about some people on this forum.
All very sad and tragic.
Still no answers to my simple question?
Just the usual narrow minded views eh cheggy.Have you ever cycled along some of these bike paths■■? Strangely you did not say.
I would love to know the average IQ on this forum.

Yes it would be great if there were a lot more cycle paths but there are not.
Cyclists have the same rights as anyone else to use the roads and cause far less pollution
Theres a cycle path runs alongside the A4174 (Bristol) but the muppets constantly wobble along the DC waiting to be wiped out.
Same rights as anyone else■■? You mean because they pay road tax and insurance like every other road user? :-/
As for pollution, global warming is a myth anyway.
Have you ever wondered why they do not use the cycle paths? Have you cycled on any of them? Do you think they want to ride on the road and be wiped out?
Global warming is a myth? Get a life you narrow minded bigot.
Why is he a bigot just because he disagrees with your view? you sound like those who are typically of the left if anyone disagrees with you you resort to name calling hardly the way to put your point across
My main point is the fact cyclists are being killed and injured everyday sometimes by their own stupidity or the stupidity of others and if cyclists and truck drivers took more care these horrible accidents would not have to happen.
Also I mentioned that cyclists do not cause pollution but Mr bright spark brings up global warming…DOH…

Bigot? I think you may be a bit confused about what that means :-/
Anyway, my name is Cheggy, not Buffy the Troll Hunter.
Go play keyboard warrior with someone else, Im not interested.
Nope sorry to disappoint you I know exactly what it means. What makes you think I am a troll? Because I do not agree with some of the biased muppets on here?
Want to have a discussion about trucks then? I have nearly 40 years experience. What about you?
why dont cyclists want to use purpose built cycle paths?.. I guess they like being turned to Roadkill?
If you look at every thread you have started, they all contain an element of you slagging of truck drivers.
Apart from your two identical topics on cameras.
Using this as a base to my knowledge about you, I have deduced that you are a troll.
I have nothing else to say to you so save the thin, semi retired, ex truckers skin on your finger tips and dont bother typing a reply.

In which case you’d probably make a far better contribution to road safety by changing the record from one of moaning and whingeing about the inevitable to one of trying to get more segregation of cyclists away from motorised traffic.Which means riding the things on the pavement wherever possible and keeping them off of fast moving dual carriageways.Although,of course, that wouldn’t fit the script of the militant cyclist cause which is all about excercising their ‘right’ to ride cycles wherever they want ( so what actually is it that’s supposedly so bad about riding on cycle paths and keeping to them in addition to using alternative routes that don’t involve fast dual carriageways
) while raving about their superiority in saving a few exhaust emissions.
When the fact is in many cases they’re just too poor to be able to buy and run a car from the age of 17 so they resort to the typical commie bs of wanting everyone brought down to their level instead of trying to get a better deal in increasing their standard of living.

Your deduction is wrong and I will answer because incase you do not know forums are for debate and discussion although it appers you are incapable of either.
You nor anybody else has answered my perfectly legitimate question why they treat the death of someone cycling to that of someone driving a truck? There are truck drivers that cycle and vice versa you know.
Yes I will slag truck drivers because I see so much bad driving from so many of them these days.Professionalism has gone out the window.I am not going to be all pally pally with a group of biased numptys who cannot put up an decent argument about anything.I refer to a small bunch on here as others seem quite rational most of the time.
You really are a strange, silly little man.
Run along Doris, before someone in a big nasty truck hangs you by your cycle clips.

Ha strange little man eh…you know nothing…still no answer to my question?
Lets have a discussion…you pick the subject and we will see if you can actually participate without evading questions being plain infantile.
Do you actually drive a truck or just sit at your computer making a fool of yourself?
There’s nothing like the mention of cyclists on here to get people’s backs up, it never takes long to decend into name calling that’s for sure.
I bike to work every day, drive the truck all day & bike home. I’ve seen some right tools cycling about just asking to be hurt. I’ve also seen some horrible driving from all sorts of motor vehicle, yes that includes trucks. I put it down to natural selection, when it’s your time you are going and that’s it. You have no control over what anyone else on the road will do. I try to do things correctly on the bike and I’ve still been knocked off 3 times. I’ve also had the odd bump in the truck & car over the years. It’s normal, ■■■■ happens.
Oh, on the " road tax" thing, it was abolished in 1927. It’s now vehicle tax and yes I do pay it, for the car. Over 2 million cars don’t as they are exempt, anyone ever had a go at one of those? I also have insurance for the bike.
Spanner in the works! Albions first post here says it was ‘probably not [the cyclists] fault’
You are presumably basing this in the same evidence as everyone else saying it was the cyclists fault. I feel sorry for the guys family and the driver who hit him, but with a recognised cycle route nearby you have to question what he was doing! And he was from Dundee so a good few miles from home.
My opinion is cyclists should stay off the duel carriageway as it is not safe at all for slow moving two wheelers.
I don’t care who is to blame for the death but just think about it. Theres a family who is suffering a loss of a loved one

It really helps…

Jeez… Give it a rest!
I had my opinion and it differs from yours… If that makes me a bigot in your book then so be it. I dont lose sleep over people like you.
I have better things to think about.
