So I opened my allocated trailer this morning, to check the load & found all the internal straps under the front pallet, trailer was rear loaded yesterday.
So who’s the Chimp/Chump ?
The driver for not moving the straps out of the way or the loader for not moving the straps out of the way ?
Both in my opinion [emoji57]
There’s no wonder we don’t have a lot of respect for Forkies or Loaders !
You’re right they are both to blame, i hope you told them to lift the front pallets up so you could get to the straps.
Yes the driver who previously pulled the trailer should have stowed the straps, likewise the warehouse staff should have been diligent while loading, but How about option 3?
Popping open the curtains yourself prior to setting off and checking/rectifying any irregularities you find prior to departure.
If it was me I’d have encountered this scenario when I opened the curtains and stuck my head under the curtain to check the load & fasten the internal straps, then got the chimps in the warehouse to lift/move the pallets while the strap(s) was removed.
I wouldn’t have though a pallet of vacuum cleaners would be that heavy

he did mate if you read it correctly,I think it was the loaders/shunters responsibility to do this. Now the next question do you report this and get them into trouble and then get called a trouble maker by your so called co workers.
Sheer laziness. I would have a private word with the people responsible.
If it happens again, make a point of delayed departure, and tell the office why.
Driver may have pulled the straps away before loading but loader just dumps pallets on straps. Basic loaders I don’t give a shake all I’m here for is to bang it on.
I did get it sorted, it just amazes me that people allow this sort of Bad Practice to happen.
I haven’t reported it, because our Management won’t do anything about it, they probably don’t even know who collected the load or who had the trailer last (see some of my previous threads, re Adblu & queuing on the road/finally been sorted [emoji57]) so I just Plod on, taking the unnecessary overtime & look forward to each day & each ■■■■ Up with Trepidation (& humour).
It’s all a Good Laugh !
