Let some air out the tyres and drive it out

How the hell did he manage that as the highest part of the boat is already thru the arch ■■?

I guess engine or rudder failure, and she got carried stern on by the tide/flow.

Either that, or the apprentice has some explaining to do… :grimacing:

Its not part of the Stobart Group by any chance

Maybe they were going so slow that the tide rose as they went under?

I’ve seen another video of the incident - The boat suffered engine failure and was carried backwards under the bridge by the wind and current.

Not a great day for that boat :frowning:

Isn’t it great how crowds and crowds of people just want to watch and film on their phones. I know there’s nothing they can do to help, so crack on and go and see some tourist attractions instead.

Secure the boat and just wait an hour or so for the tide to turn.

From the video it looks like the towing line broke jist before the RAC got there and police created a, err, roadblock. Really not having a good day when you hit once then hit twice.
