Another bridge hit, flat packed mobile toilet

plymouthherald.co.uk/not-so-happ … story.html

I’m trying not to laugh, and failing miserably!

It used to be a mobile home, now it’s a very nice flat!!

Someone who isn’t a professional driver probably wouldn’t ever consider that their vehicle may be too high for something. But 7’6 is VERY low and you’d have thought some kind of instinct would have kicked in and looked at that and thought “nah, I’m at least going to go very slow and get out and check to see if it’s going through or not”!

One less wobble-box on the roads…

It could happen to anyone. Well anyone towing a caravan over 7’6" high and not paying attention.

I’d have just unhitched it and denied all knowledge.

How long before someone takes offence and posts “what’s so funny about someone havingtheir holiday ruined?”
I hope it was a VW hippyvan.

Agency driver on holiday

Seem to remember a very low arch bridge somewhere that says underneath the advance warning ‘all vehicles check your height now’ or something to that effect. Always wondered if that’s to make people in vans etc think about their height.

Your link for some reason didn’t work for me, but i found it from the name of the story, posted the link i followed to it, http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/not-so-happy-camper-caravan-comes-a-cropper-under-low-bridge/story-29676299-detail/story.html

Well, tis the season of morons, & f wits who obviously don’t think to check things like the height, width of these mobile bogs they insist on towing behind them , this one was most likely returning home from the ■■■■ or was that annual outing (august bank holiday)?

Won’t be one of those - they never stray from the hard shoulder of any motorway you care to mention

Also never far from a fuel station…

I like the quote from their facebook page
“Give that bridge a medal .it’s done what we all want to do to a caravan”
