having a discussion yesterday about weekly rest.
I did my 6th shift yesterday and finished at 10.15, and volunteered myself to run today at 3.30 having had 29 or so hours off.
another kid said that it isn’t possible as you can’t run what would be by friday 12 days on the bounce and that you can’t reduce if back at base.
but by his reckoning if I did a saturday mornings work and finished at 12 then I shouldn’t be able to start until 9 on the monday.
seems like a bit of a grey area to me, but he seems to be working it out using how many ‘days’ off as opposed to ‘hours’.
obviously the coming weekend would need 45 hours min with the reduction still to be made up.
just waiting for limeyphil to come out with ‘if ya getting paid then ■■■■ it son, keep running!’ haha.
cheers for the clarification.
and was also told that a 5k fine would be in the post should I be captured!
You can have a reduced weekly rest of 24 hours. You are legal if you start at 15:30. You could start at 10:15 on the Sunday should you wish.

29 hours can count as the weekly rest for the week 21 to 27 jan
Did you have a full weekly rest for the week 14 to 20 jan ?
Your next weekly rest must START no later than 330 saturday AND …
You must START a full weekly rest no later than 2359 on sunday 3rd feb
The number of shifts or calendar days has no relevance because its fitting in the apropriate weekly rests that matter
You are right as you’ve had at least 24 hrs off, it doesn’t matter about 12 days on the trot but as you rightly said next week you’ll need 45 off.

simple solution to that comment, get the biggest wettest fish that you can find, and beat the eeeejit to within an inch of his life with it
Was trying to tell me he had all this out with VOSA around 12 months ago.
As an aside, would the sundays driving hours belong to week 1 with it being before midnight sunday?
cheers.
Yes ROG, had full weekly rests for the last month or so.
Cheers.
if vosa had an issue with where you took your rest, they wouldn’t know where you had your rest. so crack on get the money in.
and wind up the gob[zb]te. tell him he’s right, so you’re gonna put the magnet on until it shows 45.

The driving hours before sunday midnight belong to this week but the hours after midnight belong to next week
Another thing cleared up,
cheers each.
