Another 2 hijackings

Good Idea

DONT PARK ON THE A14 AROUND NORTHAMPTON TO CATTHORPE

Its renowned for thefts and hijackings,If you’ve got a high value load park up at the services,Rugby truckstops not far from there :unamused: :unamused: I very rarely stop for a break in a layby and I certainly would’nt around there!!!

At least you have some sort of chance if your parked near to other wagons
Its not hard is it?

Another good idea JohnGr is to put a link as your signature then I might know where to sign up for the tex6t alerts, cause I dont spend every waking moment of my life browsing this website

not allowed to because its to another truckers forum. conflict of interest

AS REGARDS the hi jacking, if you take the time and trouble to
ask you employer who is responsible for your well being and
saftey of the load, lots of UK firms do exchange parking or offer
secure parking, which will be secure up to a point,BECAUSE
if they wish to have your load they will get it come what may,
and even the best security can and is broken, the HI-jacking
is getting worse unfortunatly all over EUROPE and beyound
but i can say that when i have used TIR parking with armned
guards, I had no problems, how about trying that in the UK;
THE criminals do know what you are carrying when it is high
risk load, and the thiefs who ■■■■■ the curtain are ones who
just take what they can get,

ONE POINT HERE MANY OF THE VEHICLES STOLEN ARE SENT
out of the country, we need a better system of vehicle checking
when a vehicle leaves the country, this will help make it harder for those thieveis who take the cars and trucks out of the country via the ferrys and the shuttle,

Jesus - Scanny change the ■■■■ record will ya…

If this isn’t a link to the text alert scheme here on TruckNet UK then what is…
trucknetuk.com/phpBB2/viewtopic. … 231#218231.

I notice that you will happily come here slagging TruckNet UK off because we doint allow direct generic links, but you convienently forget when we highlight specific things Barries website is doing both here, and in my CM column (which is intended to highlight topics on here) but which I gave 25% of the content to the Truck Alert scheme complete with the url to Barries website.

But why let a small thing like facts get in the way of the ritual slagging off of TruckNet UK eh?

question was asked, i answered including the previously given reason.

whats the problem?

So why instead why didnt you simply link to the post where it is and say … theres a link to it here?

Simple guide:

:

The link to the text alert scheme is trucknetuk.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21550 here…

far simpler sends the people interested to the relevant text alert thread, and avoids any insinuation …

The problem is, you got it wrong, and told a porky. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Well he got it half wrong…

We dont allow generic links in signatures

we might allow

TEXT ALERT SCHEME

Giving
TEXT ALERT SCHEME
If we were asked reasonably, and it wasnt abused. but no-one has asked for that, only insisting on the link to the whole website and some being quite disruptive on here because they didnt get their own way

now im really confused :open_mouth:

but i am not getting dragged into it again. decision made, end of
