Wed late 10am start, strapped up a couple of trailers, got mine about 5ish, parked up Stoke…had the battery alarm drama I mentioned on other thread
got little sleep.
Thurs…Was like a bear with a sore arse, tired and I walked around with that what my wife calls …‘‘Do not even approach me’’ look on my face.
Did 2 in Bristol, Wanstrow, then got the battery problem fixed and managed to get a drop off at Bridgewater after 5pm.
Parked up, shower, tea then caught up with my (beauty
) sleep.
Fri….Witheridge, Cullompton, Honiton….into Avonmouth change trailers, and out.
Thought ‘‘Early finish tomorrow, home,.changed, and out to watch Newcastle game in pub’‘
……wrong ! Got phone call on way home…..Can I do a Hexham tomorrow. ….Park up Stoke.
Sat 9 off ..Drop/change trailer in yard, into Egger Hexham for 1130, my induction card had expired, so had to sit through 30 mins of bull crap on a computer, then answer questions on it.
Long story short, got messed about, in there to 1530, back to yard, had to move bloody trailers around to park up, home just before half time, missed first half….but my Mrs had recorded the game for me, and my lad had come to watch it with me and waited for me to come home.
So an eventful week, (and a longer ‘‘Rob Shift’‘ this week Ady….) 48.5 hours.
Off to start it all again on Wed.
…oh the joy.
Oh forgot to say….just to rub in the fact that I’d missed the game, my mate Maoster txtd me to say he was in a Newcastle pub watching it, …
He was dead excited like a kid in a sweet shop that they were winning, he had his vintage David Ginola shirt on and everything…. and kept saying stuff like ‘‘Up the Toon’’ and ‘Howay the lads’'…finally got him converted from that stupid oval ball game thing.
