Has anyone been stopped or met Angus ?
I see he is doing a lot of charity work for the military and aircraft shows .
Wouldnt actually want to be tbh as find him a very patronising and hypercrtical person considering what he used to do for a living .

He’s quite a nice bloke actually so I don’t know how you can find him patronising when all you’ve seen is on the tv where the production company manipulate what’s shown . He knows his stuff .
Would you say the same about the fireman that’s allowed to run a red light driving his bright red fire engine whose an ex lorry driver or the guy that flys the air ambulance who was trained to kill by flying missions in war zones …
They are all people that have had a change in life vocations no different if you were to become a TM , ex driver that knows all the tricks to put your drivers in line when taking the P .
Oh and have you ever thought he may have been a good straight up haulier that decided that too many drivers / company’s were taking the P so decided to get out of the game and turned game keeper …

It seems hypercritical that so many on here think that all traffic planners should have some experience as a driver so they know the job from a drivers point of view, but have a go at a copper who deals with trucks drivers because he has the same experience.
And remember what you see on telly is the one or 2 events after loads of filming that they think are worthy of making goods telly, he’s probably done loads of normal checks where everything was ok but that would be boring.

Hey we all have our opinion but a lot of the scotch boys i have spoken to dont have a good word to say about him. And as you can see for yourselves his truck wasnt exactly legal was it ■■? Hey why not start a fan club for him like stobarts lol

His brother is a policeman in Australia, I saw the police documentary when the M5 was flooded, the Nairn brothers were sent to an isolated farm house with an old couple trapped in the floods.
Angus seem clued up on using agricultural machines to reach the house but the water was too deep.
Raf chopper saved the couple .
