Hi Archie, it looks like Dennis McCarthy from Port Talbot. He would have been driving for the terrible Twins, Hugh and George McLennan round about that time. He died suddenly whilst in his armchair at home, a few years back. RIP Dennis.

Thanks for that, I don’t think I remember him, certainly not by name it’s just that his face looked familiar. I’m sorry to hear of his demise though, (RIP)it’s always sad when you hear of another one of us departing. If anything he was so lucky to be in the right place at the time, but still sad.

Do any of you guys remember seeing this tractor unit, I’m told it went to Greece regularly 1980/81 and had a plate in the cab which read ‘Dilwyn’s Wagon’.
