Android/Merc pairing

Hi everyone,

I’ve got an LG G6 Android phone, and have been trying to pair it with the stereos in the Merc Actros trucks I’ve been driving lately. Yet when I try to update it from the stereo’s menu I click “Phone list” then “Update” and it doesn’t see my phone even though it’s right there, has Bluetooth on and is discoverable. My phone can see the stereo (its name contains the reg number) but when I try to pair, it asks me for a PIN but the stereo doesn’t tell me the number and the usual ones (0000 and 1234) don’t work.

Are there some phones that just won’t pair in a Merc? The phone list on this one has a few Android phones already paired but it’s not the first time I’ve been unable to get an Android paired to a Mercedes stereo.

When it asks for a pin number, type a code with the numbers on the radio and push the dial to enter. You then have to type the same code on your phone.

Maybe you need to delete old phones stored on there 1st.then try

The memory on the Merc only holds so many phones try deleting the ones already stored there.
