Remember: No central heating, no double glazing or double glazed doors, no under floor heating, no heated rear or front screens, no heated seats in cars, no heated mirrors on cars or trucks, no heated washer jets, outside toilets, no sleeper cabs with night heaters, many hgv’s still working with no heaters.

Amazing id love to see that in these days with jit deliveries and 24 hr openings sll coming to a sudden standstill.
in those times goods and people didnt travel like they do today
the traffic was much lighter
and has been said JIT wasnt an issue
everything is continually on the move
