And the winner is

Just who is the haulier of the year 2013?
commercialmotor.com/big-lorr … eveals-all
and which truck and van gets the accolade of fleet vehicle of the year?
for all the results of the transport industry Oscars go here

What operators get with the XF105 however is the practical and operational benefits of the CF with the options of a higher horsepower engine and a bigger cab.

Maybe they should check all their facts. The XF and CF have the same max horsepower 510bhp

Bloody fix I tell ya, Stobarts should have won haulier of the year every year for the past 5 years and into the next five - no competition.

Oy! Rikki time you blogged.

Its on the “to do” list  along with a lot of other things

Weren’t there an Elddis lorry stuck under a bridge a couple of months ago??

Self-congratulatory, backslapping, faux-bonhomie guff.

Yeah it is Scanner, but it’s an excuse for the rich lads to have a knees up ain’t it so crack on I say.

Agreed. Poor article. How many times has Mr. Siddle gone bust now leaving people high and dry money wise but yet somehow gets “haulier of the year”. WTF. :unamused:

And DAF 105 a fleet truck? Do me a favour.

Agreed. Poor article. How many times has Mr. Siddle gone bust now leaving people high and dry money wise but yet somehow gets “haulier of the year”. WTF. :unamused:

Funny, that. Eh?

Agreed. Poor article. How many times has Mr. Siddle gone bust now leaving people high and dry money wise

I don’t know Rob, care to elaborate? Just how many time has Eldiss Transport gone bust because companies house seems to think since it was created in 1971 it hasn’t- do you know better? cant find a CVA either

Sidddle C Cook sold out to United Transport in the 1960’s - which eventualy became Econofreight but was sold as a going concern, after extensive research I cannot find anything to back your statement up.
Unless you arte talking about the caravan business which is totally separate from the transport side, so you have made a bold statement about Eldiss Transport , would you care to back that up with links to relevant articles , any one can make such comments, if you can back them up with facts then they will stay , if you cant they will go, over to the person who made the statement, put up or shut up

Based on the numerous threads on here in the past about Elddis/Siddles going pop and starting under the new name. I do believe you were part of at least one of them as well. :open_mouth: Remove it for all I care, doesn’t bother me in the slightest. It’s still a poor article regardless.

Elddis wouldn’t get my vote, livery makes me want to hurl & the whole 52mp/h thing, nah…

@ Rikki, I see you have very swiftly removed your threatening post to me about posting untrue allegations and to back it up etc. Why not just leave it up?

For the 2nd time, my comments were based on old posts ON THIS SITE which you have clearly chosen to ignore. I’m just the messenger. If you want proof then go and contact the people that made them originally. Most can be found in this thread : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4866&p=44903&hilit=siddle#p44903 although there are other threads dotted about.

Tax evasion, drivers running bent and VOSA going in to sort them out doesn’t strike me as being a good mix of ingredients for a ‘haulier of the year’ accolade. :bulb:

edit: typo.

Rikki must have been concerned he used foul language using the Anglo Saxon for testicles on two occasions in challenging your assertion so has removed his post but your recent
implies you believe all you read, you can do better than that Rob K.

I have lived and worked in North East England all my life, Eldiss Transport have NEVER to my knowledge gone bust or regenerated as a phoenix company. I know lads who have worked there since the early seventies and are still working long past retirement. Is this another case on this thread of mouth engaged before brain in gear■■? I think so.
