And now for something completely different

Not going into detail as it would be unfair, but just to mention it’s not a good idea to look at your phone if it bleeps during your test.

Possibly best just to turn it off altogether.

WTF!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

and if you absolutely HAVE to text a reply to someone, best keep it short - “on my test now” - that sort of thing.

I mean you’d still fail of course, but probably less chance of getting a punch in the face.

What’s your thoughts on trainers sitting on there phones texting and receiving texts whilst training someone? And warning lights bleeping and lighting up the dash?

What a Muppet!

if your going to do it,do it right…

If he/she does that on a test , what do he/she do when there on there own !!

If you really want to complicate the matter, would controlling the phone by voice instead of pressing buttons be classified as “using a phone during the test”, eg: replying to texts?

Assuming you can say, was it one of the Cliff’s who was taking the test? Can imagine their reaction!

Why would any trainee need or want a distraction during training or test

I’ve got a mental image now of someone picking the phone up and telling the caller “I can’t speak now I’m on a driving test”

I can’t understand why anyone would have their mobile switched on during a test

  1. Shouldn’t happen
  2. Shouldn’t happen but sometimes happens.

Getting behind the wheel is bliss. Once that door shuts, it’s phone on silent, in my bag. Driving is the perfect “excuse” for being unobtainable on demand :sunglasses:

If my trainer had been playing with his mobile, I’d have asked him to knock it off. It wouldn’t be all that distracting to me, but I’ve paid so much money for the trainer’s time, I want 100% of their time.

When I did my test, I left my phone behind the reception desk.

So I’m assuming the examining staff have records of the test candidates phone number then Pete?
Didn’t you have a cat in that bag? :open_mouth:

I’d like to do this just to see the look on the examiners face.

Is answering your phone and texting part of the new test same as the “follow the sat nav” toss is on a car test?.
