And in Response. (good trucks)

Just needs a little bit of fettling :stuck_out_tongue:

This was the first foreign truck I had a ride in, not literally this one but a new Daf in 1964 was certainly different

Rikki-UK:
Scania 111/141

To my tiny mind, it is the truck that broke the mould in UK haulage, the first decently powered truck, properly equiped for drivers to have a night out in.
Closely followed by the F88/89.

Here,here!

I loved my succession of 110/111 Scania’s.
When you drove a Scania in 70’s,it meant you’d arrived

Qhunter:
Oh my gawd it;s turned into nostalgia central

Scania 111/141. Between them and the F88/89/F10 the trucking game was change forever almost overnight

The MAN 362/twin spltter combo was a joy to drive as long as you weren’t paying the fuel bill yourself. Do I remember correctly, there was about 15turns lock to lock.

Yes, quite thirsty the 362, and i thought the rest of the truck was that good i’d forgot all about the turning circle, or lack off :open_mouth:
And how could i forget the F10, my first artic steed, T plate with the splitter switch mounted on the dash :sunglasses: But i still really rate the MAN, though i’ve heard that quality control at MAN is’nt what it was.
