An Urgent Appeal

Hello everybody,
A moment of your time please.
The humanitarian charity Hope and Aid Direct is in desparate need of a volunteer class 1driver to make a crew of two for its September convoy trip from the UK to Kosovo and back.
The dates - leaving early thurs 22 September and returing fri 7 October.
Yes, I know it’s that Bus Mans Holiday? post again that appeared a few weeks ago again.
Not quite, thanks to this brilliant forum, I now have my crew-double, this appeal is for a replacement driver for the second LGV team, who’s original driver has had to stand down for military service reasons - completely
unforseen and unavoidable.

So come on boys and girls are you that person we are looking for?
Neilmac and placid-casual, I would love to hear from you again.
Is there someone you know who is going to be between jobs about this time?
A technically retired, but someone who’s still right up for a challenge with time on their hands. They will need to be fairly physically fit as theres a lot to do
once we get to Kosovo, unpacking repacking etc, even may be some adhoc DIY!!.
Are there any newbies looking to get some cls 1 plus continental experience -
what an opportunity. Don’t be shy you won’t be any less experienced than me,
that I can promise you.
Truck-net turned up trumps for me last time, lets see what you can do for me this time.
A big thank you to all who read this and give it a moments thought.

Better get your wallet out then if you’re so desperate  :bulb: .

Yes but not many charities at home require class 1 drivers, unless you are thinking of the East Coast truckers who’ll be doing their regular childrens convoy this weekend.
I’d love to go, but really can’t get out of work that week. :frowning: but I’m sure somebody will give a go just for an adventure.

And that’s where it stays in our house.

Love to do it,but I’m already commited.
