Thought I would do an update!

Last time I posted I was doing the odd ad-hoc shift on artics for a local haulier with the hope of it becoming permanent…and it has! Been full time now for 4 weeks and enjoying it. Done a mix of loads, mostly curtainsiders but also tipper work. My first tipper load was 7 tonnes over weight:lol::lol: Forgot to clear the body from the chassis for the scales…won’t do that again:-| Done a few overnights as well, mostly down to Tilbury port doing ADR stuff! Been to the top of Britain and to the bottom of Britain already. All gaining experience along the way. By the way…I’ve just done an 8 hour tip, is that normal, what’s the longest tip you guys have done?

Great to hear the job’s become permanent.

My longest tip was 3 days in Eastern Europe. Will write a book about it some day!!

Sounds like things are looking up for you, permenant job landed Well done you, that’ll give you some stability with a regular income, & it sounds like your enjoying…that’s a bonus too

Thanks Peter and Bonnie lass, yeah I am enjoying it, especially not having 50 passengers sitting behind me:lol: (used to be a coach driver!). 3 days on tip , my few hours pales in comparison.
