After a bit of info on who’s doing the transport out of the new Amazon distribution centre in Leeds just off J45 M1 thinking of jumping ship any info would be appreciated.
If its anything like other Amazon’s it will be a hodge podge of newly setup smaller operators, a bit of Slam, mayhe some Romac etc.
Have a look around the area and see what units are trying to sleep during the day and that’ll give you an idea. Presumably paid parking isn’t priced into the job to account for the razor thin margins Amazon provide.

This true. You will ALWAYS see a bobtail unit with curtains pulled, parked in some crap position outside an Amazon shed. No matter what shed you go to.
The developers (Prologis, Verdion etc etc) should have been forced to supply proper parking spaces inside these industrial estates that have popped up all over the place.
There were some parked on the roundabout outside Amazon Peterborough half on the pavement half on the roundabout with traffic going past, how the hell do they sleep soundly??
And this arial shows them all parked there
The ariel…
Pic of Peterborough Amazon’s roundabout, appears to show a dropped trailer (right at the top of the words Commerce Road). Pretty sure that’s against some kinda law.

Yes and it looks like a Swain haulage trailer.
