and she never bothered talking to me on the CB
Were both doing Intermediate now
Haven’t used ham radio for a few years, now live in France and never bothered to apply, got a kenwood 2M in a box somewhere no idea if it still works

If any of you on here are offered an Icom IC7400, then please let me know asap.
There was a break in at my local club last Friday evening, and that was the only radio stolen. The Police are involved, and all of the UK’s radio emporiums have been notified, as have the local second hand shops within a 25 mile radius.
They ragged it off the shelf that hard, they pulled out of the radio one of the so239 sockets, so it will need repairing.
Keep your eyes peeled please guys.

These posts make me smile. I was in an office once on Cardiff Docks and someone “let rip”.
The male cleaner a keen cb radio man switched off his vacuum for a second and quipped “Speak up Brown you’re through…” before flicking the hoover back on and carried on regardless. I couldn’t stop laughing at it.

Used to have the Yaesu dual bander in 2/70 but since I changed trucks never felt the urge. Had a few regliar contacts on GB3SN (Susan) PC went off air for a while so did SH pending relocation.

My friend went to all the expense and hassle of putting up a repeater, GB3YC, when the DSTAR one was forced to move because all the locals who used to use it before it changed to DSTAR said they wanted it back. So he put it up on the best site in the area, a 150ft tower he runs on one of the highest points in the county, and hardly anyone uses it.

sadly i cant hit that one from my QTH!! I can hit about 20 others though!!
not got setup in the truck yet, need to get some cash together for a decent dual bander, and i should be away then!!
