Just stressing a bit that I haven’t received my licence back as yet, as seen as I sent it off on the 3rd Nov. Thought would of had it back by now.
For provisional entitlement or test passing??
Have you checked HERE to see if the entitlement has been added??
DVLA quote 3 weeks after test passing. If it’s provisional entitlement there could be an issue on the D4 medical form.

Waiting on provisional adding mate.
Mine was back in a week, so may have been an issue…have you checked on teh link to see if the entitlement is actually added?? If on there it could have been lost in post…

Checked, not been added yet. Let’s hope it’s cos there just busy.
Mine took just over 3 weeks to come back…
Yes,
Three weeks is not unusual, after waiting for three week I rang DVLA and they said it’s with the medical departmen we’ll put you through.
On speaking to the medical department, they looked at the forms there and then and said all was OK and within two days the entitlement was showing on the site two days after that the licence was in my hand. Cant help wondering how long it would have been if I hadn’t phoned up
If the medical section think something needs to be checked or if they think the TC needs to informed because you have been naughty in the past then the delay can be due to that but its probably more like they are back logged

Just itching to get started with my training.
Got mine back yesterday mate. I sent mine off last Thursday so 5 day turnaround. only thing i had on my D4 was my blood pressure and im on meds for it. Did you send forms off recorded ? That way you can check if they have it and it hasn’t been lost.

No mate didn’t send it recorded as didn’t think it needed it.

Only thing I can suggest is wait till the 3 week mark then give them a ring… Should really send all documents like that as recorded, think it cost me no more than £2 and its there the next working day and you can ring up the post office to find out if its been signed for etc.
If you’re still waiting for the provisional C entitlement ring them up. It’s been 4 weeks in total now (all came back after 1.5, doctor had missed a box ). I called today, and the bloke said he’d put a note on my application telling them to hurry to bloody hell up (my words, not his).
Gets a bit annoying waiting and waiting with no feedback. Especially as I can’t wait to get out of my current job and start earning £’s.
Just stick it out and then call them up. The sequence on the automatic machine is something like 3-5-Wait.
Update;
Spoken to the dvla this afternoon about my licence, n they said that it had been to the traffic commissioner and that it had been ok 'd, what ever that means and it is now in the hands of the people who issue the licence, so I should receive it shortly.
Why did it go to TC I would be wondering myself ?
Certainly not the norm ?

Think it might have something to do with me having a dr10 on my licence

I think your lucky to get it in that case. To be honest bit surprised you weren’t asked to attend to explain why they should give you the licence, TC getting keener on anything that they think is a risk. Depends when your DR10 was but at least your getting your licence!
Least you can get started on getting through test.
Begs question though - does a training school have insurance to cover it?
I’d be asking to cover myself just in case

I’m sure there will be other hgv drivers and new drivers who may have been as silly as me in the past and have a dr10 on their licence too.
So you applied for your Prov C on the 3rd and posted on here on the 19th stating you hadn’t received your licence yet but didn’t mention you had a DR10?! Did you not think that this might be the reason why?
Straight forward applications take around 3 weeks anyhow.
