Always keep a diary people

trubster:
I don’t keep a diary, Timesheets and Digi Card Download does the same thing.

I agree as far as the prime mover is concerned, but it won’t tell you the trailer number you pulled a fortnight ago (or didn’t) which has been mysteriously damaged. Or the forkie who damaged a pallet whilst unloading that you noted in your diary and suddenly three months later they’re claiming of your company.

So whilst I agree with your statement Trubster I always operate a cover my ■■■ policy, and a diary certainly helps.

Can you apply for an exemption on the grounds that your sofa is not fitted with seatbelts!

I would have asked the old bill that as a laugh, might have pxxxxd them off when they realised they were wrong

They probably were not at fault, and would make sure the company concerned was even more ■■■■■■ off for filling in the wrong details on a S172 Form.

Not really the police forces fault they were given incorrect information

So your company gave your details to the police without first establishing facts with you first? that ■■■■■.
My regular vehicle picked up a parking ticket in Felixstowe last year, I knew it wasn’t me, the vehicle was parked some were I would never park at the BP garage there, a walk back to the vehicle, card in print out done, showed I was off that day.
Never kept a diary, but do read them if there is one in a truck I am driving.

Trubster is correct :grimacing: delivereye from Renault :sunglasses: NEVER COMMIT PEN TO PAPER :grimacing:

I have alway kept a work diary saved me a few times too I do it as part of my 15min check & when finnished I write reg trailer number milage at start then finish time I start & finish where I have been not that detailed but helps

My prostitutes say they keep diaries. So if DVSA have a quarrel with me I’ll ask for photocopies from Ocean and Tamara. That’ll keep me right. You have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch me boys in blue.

A handwritten entry in a diary will not stand up in court, unless it’s countersigned by a person in authority like a doctor, solicitor or Stobarts driver.

not the point - can serve as a memory jog, if they say you went through the camera, you can check your shift for that day, find you were on a different route - then they can get out the defect sheet for that day and see who filled it in - not you - end of,
or get them to look at tachomaster - not you - end of

Of course, whatever a Stobratt driver says will always be taken as gospel anyway !!

Kept a diary every year since 1990 always nice to reminisce the nights out and who you was with but one in particular was two of us driving for the same firm and we had to diesel up at southwaite only for the cashier to mix our cards around, she put my unsigned receipt on the side.Six months later got called into the managers office to explain this receipt with my reg no on it and a look in his eye to say I had been nicking fuel so when I looked in my diary the date stipulated it had been on a sunday a day we never worked instead of Thursday and the diary helped me remember the mix up.

I’m going out to buy a diary later. Will they be half price now that we’re half way through the year.?[emoji1]
