the driver behind me in a reefer stops next my door to tell me he will be there and hour or more! tesco man had shown no interest in moving the empty cages despite me sitting patient for 5 mins and with another truck behind me, so the other lorry driver delivering to the store moves them out the way for me but he tells me they get “12 mins per cage”
does the driver has to set his stop watch each time he unloads a cage? what happens if he takes 13 mins - will the world implode
Dont know what 12 minutes a cage means but they have turnaround times anywhere from 45 minutes to 1hr 10 minutes thats 45 cages on a full wagon then reload it wae crap.
Id just have moved the silvers myself they’re not heavy cruise
I’d have flipped. Ignorant git parking well away from one wall and taking the space up the other side with cages. I can’t stand folk that do tricks like that. Sometimes you hold people up and there is no option, but this is just arrogance!
And people wonder why lorry drivers are treated with contempt
When approaching that door, what on earth went through the bloke’s mind to think that abandoning his vehicle in the middle of the road would be acceptable, not just to other lorry drivers, but the way he has stuff scattered around means that pedestrians will also be on a slalom course to get by
i think the cages on the left are emptys ready for return.i do this kind of work sometimes and the shop staff are alerted when i`m 5 miles away so that they can put the emptys out ready for loading.
still no need to block the presinct tho

Whichever company it was, they invited you to complain if you wished with the 0800 number! After a few minutes wait I probably would have done.
Or ask the driver if he can move instead of being a ■■■■ and ringing his governor.

No, phone the boss, the truck is virtually in the middle of the roadway, there is at least a truck width on the offside and he could have parked there in a straight line leaving enough room for everyone else to do their deliveries, no excuse for ignorance unless you are an idiot which this driver seems to be.

You shouldn’t even have to ask the driver to move, he should have already noticed he is being a plank, and is preventing others getting through.
