I saw this yesterday on A14 mid morning pulling a DFDS fridge and thought how on earth are Hughes Transport still allowed to operate ? Why haven`t customers immediately dropped them like a stone ?
If nothing else their registered trucks have been " ALLEGEDLY " associated with dropping off a trailer containing migrants / collecting a trailer with migrants / 2 x counts of failing to stop for a DVSA check / employs or owned operated by 2 of UK`s most wanted.
Then there is the question of whether Brian Hughes is just a front to get the O licence ? Are brothers in ultimate control ? Are drivers in contact with brothers ? Have bank accounts been verified against customer orders and invoices ?, Does p and l accounts and payroll records prove all Hughes personal income above board and consistent with their personal spending etc etc ■■
I`m assuming they are N.I registered and dva operators licence ?
I would have thought there is enough circumstantial evidence for traffic commisioner to immediately suspend their operator`s licence ■■? If they have that power ?

There is more than person called Hughes who owns lorries in Ireland a bit like there is more than one Jones Transport in Wales yet again TN coming up with 5 when in reality 2+2 = 4
They want to be an integral part of the UK, but still do things ‘their’ way. Just look at the Brexit antics of ‘come on Arlene’ …doesn’t want a border with the rest of the UK, doesn’t want a border with the Republic of Ireland but does want to leave the EU.
And many of her loyal voters (dairy farmers etc) will be utterly beggered if a hard border was put in place (their milk goes south for processing by Kerrygold, then comes back across the border for sale locally or export to the rest of the UK).
But they do want to leave the EU, and they don’t want a united Ireland, and they don’t want the ‘backstop’ that would have enabled the UK to leave the EU, as agreed.
If you can work that out, you are a better man than I.
