All for 50 mins

Refused loads , they never think the headache it causes us , how do they think I’m now going to get the 3 drops off with there 16 palls still on , 50 mins late is neither here nor there , but refusing loads has consequences ,far reaching , these companies should think about it before making petty decisions

It’s up to your boss to state a decent time margin in the conditions/terms of carriage.
Drivers trying to meet strictly applied time slots is a road safety hazard.

50 mins blooming heck [emoji3525]
Where was it that had a little hitler in goods in ?
Now I can understand if it’s next day , but as you say 50mins is petty indeed [emoji47]

This has no consequence for you whatsoever.
Just do exactly as you are told for 70+ hours a week non stop as per usual

One good thing about driving for WalMart was when delivering multiple stops the stores had to take delivery. I’ve had store managers refuse to take it but a call from me to the office and they would call the manager and it was unloaded, albeit begrudgingly.

Can someone send Dopey a 4 piece jigsaw puzzle so he can practice how to get 3 pieces in the picture while the 4th is stuck in the box

I’ve had that before, just sweet talk goods in to rearrange at the drops easy… :unamused:

They dont give a toss. The other week i drove all theway from Felixstowe to Leicester. They refused delivery because it was a day early.I just drove out and took it back.A week latter i was given the same job and they kicked off why i was 6 days late.I just told them you are forgetting you refused it last week.

Was an hour late once for a big Speke RDC, as soon as i backed on the bay i heard them on the back starting to unload me, i still had to take my keys and paperwork to the office, hitler says ‘‘your an hour late i am refusing load’’ I go back to lorry, they have already taken the lot off, so i go back to office and tell him, they have already took it off, ‘‘i dont care i am still refusing it, they can put it back on’’ and he made them put it back…now thats petty!
And the reason I was late…i was kept waiting at their other RDC in Middlewich!

I don’t do much RDC work. Went to Poundland one at Wigan today.
Got there early gave them defence number backed on bay got green light.
Thed offloaded me.but because there was an issue with paperwork
And untill someone emailed them the correct paperwork they refused to give me my keys back.
.wasted over an hour waiting for someone to send an email so I could get my keys back.
All childish really

Pull ya finger out and get there on time then   Tossing the job off all day

It doesn’t cause me any headache at all. I just phone the Traffic Office and leave it to them to decide what to do, that’s what the Traffic Office is for. Have you thought about doing that?

This.

Maybe he hasn’t quite grasped the idea of “just in time” logistics and the NIL picking system. The trucks that probably where waiting for the goods Dozy was bringing so they can deliver them to the shops have probably long since gone down the road after the store order was cut due to no stock

Despite every criticism I have of my current employer - and there are many  - they do at least give plenty of consideration to timed bookings. Sometimes too much in the sense that often you can get everything else done inbetween two timed bookings say but they’ll not plan between the two if you get me. Obviously you also know over time which ones you get away with/don’t care etc.

But as for a headache so long as I’ve done my part (not delayed through my own fault, started on time etc) it’s not my headache to have.

Maybe the waiting ‘trucks’ will just have to wait another hour or two. What’s the point of sending them without their loads.
Not much point in whining about road safety if you want to hold road transport to rail type time schedules. :unamused:

Depends, was it a specific time or a time window that he missed?
