I think it’s pretty standard for most companies to do a theory paper comprising of Highway Code and drivers hours questions, then a drive finishing with a reverse. They just want to see you drive safely within the the rules of the road with plenty of mirror checks and not touching any kerbs. Basically like being on the driving test but probably with a bit more confidence.

I’m sure someone who has done the aldi assessment will be able to give more detail but that’s my understanding of the way most companies do it and I can’t see why they’d want anything more or anything less than that.

Did an assessment for Fowler Welch. Drove to get a trailer (this was during the motorway crisis in February, where everything was shut) at a truckstop. Drove back. Dropped it on the bay (nailed the reverse in one shot :grimacing: first time after class 1 test). You might be doing a delivery to a localish shop. Nothing too taxing.
