Alconbury closure {Day Time}

Hello A14 at Alconbury,is this an actual closure of the A14 as in you would have to take a diversion to get back on the A14 or is it closed at the Alconbury turn off.Reason for question, in a double decker. thankyou

It’s the A1 that’s shut south of Alconbury junction,diversion is A14 east then A1198 south on to A428 back to A1.

It was due to be shut around Cambridge services too to install new bridge by looks of things. If doing that use the Bedford turn off, follow diamond and you’ll get back on at next junc (safe for DD).

Dont do what roadworks tell you to and go to services, turn back 5 miles, turn back west 2 miles then off at Bedford turn that you passed earlier. The diversion is that stupid!

If it’s closed for bridge building at wooley, go off at spittalls back on at Brampton but, unless there putting spans in south of Brampton, Then it’s down to godmanchester A1198, up to Caxton gibbet A428, then towards St Neots.

Or if your brave go thro Brampton past RAF camp, rejoin A1 sth at buckden…
