any hard evidence of the fuel saving compared to purchase price Mr monarch?

on a 6 b 2 unit and tri axle trl your save about 600 kgs
I could be wrong but I was under the impression it was more like 300kg. Certainly the MAN website claims that the Alcoa wheel option on a 6x2 TGX saves you 152kg by replacing the 8 steel wheels with alloys, so I can’t see that plus the trailer coming to much more then 300kg.
Also a 600kg saving over 14 wheels is over 42kg on average per wheel, and I doubt very much if the steel wheels actually weigh that in the first place.

if you type in ally wheels weight saving on google or go on alcoa website all the info about fuel and weight saving is there i was probably a bt vauge with 600kgs its probably less word of advice though the money you save on fuel/extra payload you will be spending on autosol still with no work about your have plenty of time to polish and get wound up when the bloke pulls up next you with his durabrites or stainless wheel trims
not worth it then
Its 250kg 1/4 tonne on a eight wheeler weight saving.
save about 1/2 ton on 6x2 unit & tri trailer + the tyres will last a bit longer as they dont get as hot on alloy as they do on steel.

According to the alcoa website " Using Alcoa wheels instead of steel wheels will save approx. 250 to 300 kg for a complete articulated truck" which backs my numbers up.
