Did I say Polish■■? I’m sorry, that should read Czech Driving Licence over the mantlepiece.
Would have loved to fly professionally and have friends that do. Worked at Newcastle Airport as a refueller in the days when you could go on ‘familiarisation flights’ with the skippers permission. Also the days when you could go on a mail flight and they would let you fly the plane for a while. See a few of my old videos below.

Just stick to British, as this is propably the only one you have any idea about.

Ahh but Ory’s English truck drivers are more concerned about foreigners than they are about English so you may have just lost that argument Lol
Found this thread on pistonheads, pistonheads.com/gassing/topi … cial+Pilot it seems becoming a pilot is not what it once was, very interesting replies from the commercial pilots on there, £55k upwards for training £20- £30k for specific aircraft type approval, minimum 2000 hrs + experience on some airlines 6 month/summer season contracts (just like driving agencies) all that for a £30k first officer job with ryanair/easyjet … and thats if your lucky enough to get the job in the first place, better paid trans atlantic jobs dead mans shoes ,over subscribed just like truck driving.
Back to the ‘Stanstead Airport’ story…
Did anyone notice the ■■■■ up made by the narrator about the Stanstead rail link? These ‘trains’ run on HGV tyres, the narrator stated that they “run at 110psi, five times the pressure than on a 44 tonne artic”. I dont think so. Can you imagine running your tyres at 22psi, they would be flat! I have run tyres at 80psi on a light trailer, but not 22psi
Tiger.

“Ex Commie Block chauffeurs are without doubt the best in the World as we know it.” Hope this helps?
PS. And at spelling as well.
PPs. Over the mantlepiece.

Well, “I will no longer spread stupid myths based on the false stereotypes and my own ignorance” would be just enough. As for the above is as much untrue as would be the opposite. There are good and bad drivers in any nation.
So the ‘ex-Commie Block’ bit will pass the censor then? This has been a steep learning curve on how not to offend our new EEC Bro’s. Maybe I should ask you to write my comments in future ?
PS. Bored now so discussion ends.

Don’t blame you, it has to be boring to lead discussion when you can’t even understand the problem
I ended it with my last post, so glad that we at least agree on that matter

An experienced 747 captain,can earn £250,000 year,plus all the perks.on top.
Ive seen you write some piffle but come on.
I know a guy who has 30 years in the job, he has come off the long haul in favour of short haul so he can get home every night (Lives in Cheshire, works out of Heathrow) and pilot training, he gets a significant extra for the training and is on just over £100k a year, and the guy is always getting approached by airlines he is that highly regarded.
His son has just done his Commercial licence, stands him at summat like £60k and now he’s looking for work.
