Season’s greetings to all,Looking to get back to driving again after 10 years with the NHS, Anyone out there point me in the direction of Airfield based Haulage Firms.I have recently gained my private pilot licence and would like to work from an airfield plus accommodation, caravan would be ok,some place like Full Sutton,South East area, many thanks,
Al.

North Weald…
Kings Transport, AMG both on the airfield , Marshalls nearby, Jonen Shipping nearby, HPC nearby plus Harlow a few miles to the north with many companies…

Cranliegh freight, Ray white, stage truck , all on or very close to airfields

Thanks Twoninety88 and chester1 for the information.

I know it is not the area you asked for, but Marshalls transport near Pershore Midlands is based on an airfield, there are caravans there.
Another airfield with transport firms is near Stroud on the boundary of Princes Annes farm land.
Kemble airfield near Tetbury has a few parcel depot firms.

NC Cammack Transport and David Watson transport, both based at Earls Colne airfield in Essex.

I don’t think he’ll be able to fly in and out of Heathrow…

Rase Distribution are based on the aerodrome at Wickenby near Lincoln, good group of people up there at the club so I’m told and a tarmac strip so you can use it year round but it is a bit far from where you wanted. Do you have a preference of hard surface?

DJC “Do you have a preference of hard surface?” Tarmac or grass no preference, thanks for your advice.

Which Rase?
White British,or White other or what?

Well he was asking for a Haulage Firm at an Airfield. So i rekon HGV Job at a Transport Company.
He also could look after :arrow_right: SPA Trans which was owned by American Airlines when i last had contact to them.

Dont know Haulage with Aircraft other then Stobard,if its that

Rase is the company name not ‘race’ for ethnic origins

I’m more convinced than ever you are on a wind up, thats ‘wind’ for turn not wind for what the weather is doing!

Gods teeth…

It’s not on an airfield but Bleach of Lavant are a great group of people and mostly do multi drop deliveries of plants in the summer. It’s about 10 minutes from Goodwood, I fly out of there and the new clubhouse is nearly finished being built. Lot’s of car based events going on there as the circuit runs round the airfield. It’s not a huge distance from Shoreham which has the benefit of hard surface but they don’t permit circuits there for some reason. Easy access to the Isle of Wight from both these places and you can stay on frequency with Goodwood (I don’t know about Shoreham) for quite a distance even when you’re outside the ATZ which is handy.

Apart from this lot I’m out of ideas but there’s also AE Parker (Knights of Old) and Gregorys (formermly Philson Haulage) in Chichester.

I do, it’s fantastic except for the grass runway, fine in summer but the rain tears it apart, it’s been pretty unusable for about the last month. :frowning:

They do PalletForce work (and general haulage) all year round as well.

I remember walking on the grass one year it rained at the revival. Slippery mud field! Nice location near to the coast and all.

Taft international and Whites are at Manston (Salvatori aren’t far away either)

Loads of Andover firms within cycling distance of Thruxton.

Shears Brothers are at Hurn

Popham airfield by the A 303 near Andover, Ken White transport nearby and Metcalfe transport for low loader and curtain side trailer work.
A feed mill and farmers co-op next door, not sure if it is Mole Valley Farmers or not ?
