Air Polisher

Will a truck produce enough air for a small air polisher off the red line?

yep no prob aslong as u leave the engine ticking over

my trucks will run an air ratchet for removing the wheel nuts using an air line from the test point, not the red air line, won’t crack the nuts though, possibly the fault of the air ratchet not being big enough, so i would imagine that it would run a polisher easily enough

the air system will also inflate a super single to 120PSI

as said though, leave the engine running to keep the pressure up

ideal, been using a battery drill with polishing mop for tanks and wheels but am forever charging batteries…

Is it difficult or could anybody do it? We have an air polisher type thing hanging about and ive wanted to have a go on this tank below because it wouldn’t come up very good by hand. :unamused:
Before

During

After

As you can see, better, but still not very good. :unamused:
Any tips?

somewhere, i have got an air drill with the polishing mops for it, but not got round to using it as yet

i will get round to it before the truck shows start though, just to see if it works easier than by hand :sunglasses:

only probs you have with a air drill, is it doesnt spin fast enough to get the soaps etc hot enough to work right you need a high speed drill or bench grinder to get the best results, air drill i guess are ok just to keep the shine at bay, or in tonys case when your milking the job and creaming it instead of doing work, sit there polishing the helmet :grimacing: :grimacing:

my 18v battery drill does well but i’m forever charging the battery, makes the job a bit lengthy and annoying. Got a hose made up but i’ve never bought a drill/polisher to use yet.

youve never bought any thing have you TBW, its right what they about you jockeys! tight as ■■■■ even dodge buying some one a cuppa tea, you wont need a trucks red line as someone once said your full or air :grimacing: :grimacing:   heee baaa, heee baaa to run the air drill
