CUT THE [zb] BLUE WIRE
Ha ha
please help got air duster gun today from truckfest at detling showground kent and i want to conect to air line for seat but i had a look at seat and noticed there was 2 lines feeding it a black and a red what line should i cut to put the t piece valve on the lorry is a 07 plate daf cf 85 and knowing there is many years of experience on here between you lot was just wondering about some info many thanks
I’d say it was the black one
kink the tube i.e bend it into a v shape if it is air the seat will start to go down,it is the one that comes up from under the floor, you’ll find probably one of the tubes has electrical wires in it
when you cut it you will panic and ■■■■ yourself momentarily until the T piece conector is connected
like I have 3 times connecting mine to various trucks,it still sends me into panic
Don’t do it, it’s the first step down the road to shiny truck syndrome. There is still time to save your self, just put down the knife and back away slowly.

Tut, Coffee, you cynical old bugger FPMSL
When I still had my Actros ( ), a fitter (non Merc) who I’ve known for years and have great faith in told me I shouldn’t bother doing it because the pressure in the seat system is not enough to have a good blast around the cab with.
So I didn’t bother.
Anyone found this to be the case after having connected it to the seat supply??
what about the air supply attatchment behind the passenger side of the cab there is a connector that when you take the rubber grommit off and you push the valve there seems to be loads of pressure there but i dont know what the connector is there for please help

I fitted mine on my Actros, plenty of pressure.couldnt imagine how filthy it would get if I did’nt have it.
Also got a 12v hoover
AIR GUN,try pressure washer after the weekend crew have been in it,roll on the 1st of july, when i wont need to spend the first 15 mins with both windows fully open.
i have one in my cab its great for getting into knooks down the sies of the seats and alike where you cant get a cloth of a brush into, just remeber only use it with one window or door open not both, that way it blows out the door and not into the sky making you feel like buddy holly and his last moments

This connector is to boow up the air system if the engine will not run or a problem with the rest of the air supply
Got mine attatched to my seat in a Volvo, plenty of pressure but I just use it to dust myself off before I get in.

Interesting mate. If I get an Actros again in the future I’ll rig my duster up to it and give it a whirl.
I now have a Scania Topline which has a connection in the dash. Why can’t all trucks come with this as standard? It is a good idea.
A 12v hoover I could do with - always use a stiff brush on the carpet but a hoover would be much better to clear up my mess with.

The 12 volt ones don’t usually have much power. Have you considered one of those rechargeable ones? Charge it at home then use it in the truck, there is more than enough charge for the small area in a cab and they usually have a higher power rating.
nice one guys thanks for all your replies i will fit it tomorow on my break just hope i cut the right pipe dont fancy driving around the rest of the day sitting on the floor.the dust on the building sites and landfills seems to get everywhere so hope this will keep it somewhat clean having no aircon is a right downer but keep the windows done up as much as possible and blower on cold seems to keep it down but still gets in all nooks and cranies does my nut in when its all over cab interior cheers guy

I hadn’t Neil. Sounds like an excellent idea though. I’ll have a look on argoooos web site right now.
