Air connection advice wanted

I`ve been on a clear out last weekend and come a cross a wolf whistle air horn.

Right i now drive a 18 ton iveco whick does not have a air horn so can i run a air line from the air tank to the horn to give it a air supply. I was thinking of buying one these and cutting it down so would this work

You could use that but it wouldnt look very good there is nornmally tapping in points /test points under the grille where you could pipe into for a better job etc,

You can only tap into a circuit with a pressure protection valve eg the air suspension tank or the auxilary supply for the clutch booster or drivers seat air suspension.

If you tap into a none protected circuit (axle one or two brake circuit or engine circuit)and the pipe got damaged or the horn valve leaks then the brakes would apply on their own.
And if you got a tug of VOSA they would really give you a kickin.

Some trucks have a protected manifold block to plug auxiliaries in to but they are not always easy to find.

Surprised you didn’t advise teeing into the turboencabulator.
