Aint it typicle!

Aint it typicle !!!
ive been working for a scaffollding firm since i passes my class 2, ive saved up the money to do my class 1 which was always my intention, but weeks turned into months etc etc and i never got round to doing it.
Work dried up a couple of weeks ago but within days my dog got a ulcer on her eye bless her, £1200 later and 2 ops, im skint and now a mate has got a job on the containers, he got talking to 1 of his managers, they are prepered to give me a trial pending me gaining my class 1, bloody typicle that the money meant for this has now found its way to the bloody vets.
The bank has seen my wages paid into my account all that time but as i am now out of work for the forseeable future they wont allow a overdraft.
moral of the story, dont dither on your dreams, if you want to do something so bad, follow your heart and get it done.
Cheers fellas

I hope your dog is grateful! I know what i’d have done and it wouldn’t involve £1200 and a trip to the vets! More likely a sack, 4 bricks and a river :open_mouth:

Well lets hope you don’t have any pets then.

Nope, 5 greedy kids and one ungrateful wife is enough for any man. Apologies for leaving out the smiley Switch, it was meant to be tongue in cheek, just shows how easily one can give the wrong impression by forgetting one crucial bit of text

If you are out of work take your dog to the PDSA they will help you … then you can pay towards the treatment for the dog and will save you money.

In reference the work cant you get the work to take say £30 a week from wages into say a savings fund then use one of their trucks to do test in if they are ok with it?

Ok fair enough! It’s just I had a Labrador that cost me £2000 in vets bills and died a few months later and the amount of idiots saying it was a waste of money really got on my ■■■■! It was worth every penny to give the poor old girl a pain free last few months.

If you are not working as has been said take dog to PDSA they will treat for a donation

Can you get a letter from the prospective employer then take to job centre see if they can fund it for you

afternoon all,
Ive had my dog since she was 10 weeks and to be honest i treat her like my daughter, sad i know but unlike me greedy ex wifes she has always given me unconditional love no matter wot.
I’ve already spent the money so its to late to get it back and the pdsa wouldnt help because im not on benefits or a low earner, but now i am unemplyed maybe if she needs any more treatment then i will just takke her there. Shes a 10 1/2 year old pedigree pure white boxer and still runs round like a puppy anyway enough of her, shes doing well thank god, a ■■■■■ to get her eye drops in tho lol.
Just spoke to the bank and they would be willing to help pending a letter of offer of emplyment from employer, ive spoken to the company and the man i need to speak to is on holiday till Mon but the bloke i spoke said it shouldnt be a prob but i need to right a letter to them to say they are not obligated to offer a job, confused… my head is spinning.
But to be honest i dont care how i do it now< just want to get the license sorted and take a chance and see what happens.
Onwards and upwards fellas.
Got to go cause shes already whining for her 4.30 treat (have to give her boiled chicken so she eats her pills) she eats better than i do lol.
Be safe

one ungrateful wife

She wasn’t ungrateful the other day when you were out

2 words, PET INSURANCE!

i wouldnt drive a car without insurance, i wouldnt have my home insured… sure as hell not letting my Lab run about without insurance! bloody vet bills can be sky high and dogs are good at being daft!

i hope your dog is ok… your time will come around again. i think you did the right thing!

the problem with the per insurance is ive left it too late, my fault entirely i know, boxers average age is around 9. mine is 10 and a half and pure white so no firm would touch her, but to be fair the only money i have ever spent on her was wen i had her spayed whne she was a pup.
Her eye is so much better now thank god, and she has so much more life in her now aswell, just hope i get good news on Mon.
cheers fellas

Good to hear the Dog is doing well, i had my German Shepherd 12.5 years and was paying £100 pm and never had a claim!!! When we 1st started the insurance it was a teener pm …

Morning all,
Just a little footnote, bad nite last nite with my dog, sems the eye has another ulcer on it, back to the vets this morning and just waiting to see a eye specialist in wimbledon village, how expensive is that going to be ouch. Worst case seniaro sher might lose the eye but fingers crossed and all that.
Still waiting on a phone call concerning the job and sorting the money etc, will keep you all posted.
Has anyone used the scania training school?
cheers fellas

it gets worse, just her biopsy results back from the lump in her mouth that they removed, its cancer, and a aggressive 1 at that.
Nothing they can do, but on the plus side her eye is healing up a treat.
6 to 12 months for the old girl, shes not suffering at all at the moment, we still play football, shes eating and drinking ok, its just a case on keeping her happy till the dreadfull day comes.
heartbreaking but a sad fact of life.
cheers guys
