Try and get hold of Norton Ghost. It will clone your hard drive onto a recordable cd/dvd then when you come to format time simply put the clone in and reboot. When you clone the hard drive it will copy every thing on the PC games, apps everything, it saves loads of time putting every thing back on. Mine takes about 8 minutes start to finish to restore back to when I cloned it.

I’d change your antivirus if possible. Norton is a chronic resource hogger. Try AVG by Grisoft it will be a noticeable improvement. You can download a free version to try from their site.

Has everyone using broadband rememberd to remove the old phone line connection from there PC ?.
I know some one who had a few virus problems as a result of forgetting to discinnect.
