Anyone any ideas which agencies use LTD co drivers in the North East area and pay direct rather than through some umbrella type affair?
If your Ltd then you’ll invoice direct so won’t go anywhere near umbrella palaver.
Most agencies will take on ltd though as it avoids anything hmrc for them.
Given recent IR35 stuff going on hope your ltd can prove rock solid it’s set up right

Catch yourself on you moron. I came on and asked the question as my main work through my LTD company is repairing trucks rather than driving them. I have however hurt my back so I’m doing more driving. Until now all my work has been direct and I’ve never worked through an agency before. At the minute I’d like to spend a bit more time with my family so agency work might be of use to me at the moment. As for being a clown without a clue, I’ve probably forgotten more about trucks than you’ll ever know so if you’d kindly take your opinion elsewhere that would be splendid.

Cheers for that. I wasn’t sure how the umbrella setup worked. My accountant is pretty confident I fall outside of IR35 at the minute so should be ok on that front. The agency work is just something that could be convenient at this time.

It’s marginally better than Preston but not much! I was thinking of trying velocity as they always seem to want drivers in Washington and it’d save me using the van to get to work.
