When I worked at Sunlight I phoned an agency who were advertising a decent sounding job, and the chap on the phone told me that he was not allowed by law to take someone from a permanent job into a temporary job. Anyone else heard of that?
Not a troll, couldnt login under last name & had to create new post. Am listening but situation had progressed/changed & hoping (against all hope it seems) that there would be some positive experiences & I could move on. Main woman at agency kept saying hand in notice as work available from Monday, then yesterday the 2nd of her colleagues said DO NOT hand in notice as they still havent got it sorted their side & they still not sure what work they’re getting from Asda. So unfortunately it looks like you are all right about agencies & I am stuck for now. On plus side can add green card/driver assessment to cv & am still in full time permanent job with steady wage. Thanks anyway.
