Agency work + Company work

Hello again People’s Republic of Trucknet.

So since passing my Class C and CPC I haven’t driven a truck in anger. Decided to stay put in my current job and go get my C+E (did assessment drive on Monday) but once I have this then my notice is going straight in. So I have a question for you.

I am obviously going to start on agency but I was also thinking of asking my step-father in law if he could possibly get me a holiday cover / long term sickness cover ( I don’t want any one to become sick but it happens) gig at his place in Scotland.

Would that be allowed? I know I would have to keep on point with my driving hours and such but if I did manage it would/could it affect my work with agency? I’d try and give as much notice as possible.

Thought I would ask you nice guys and gals first before asking him.

TL;DR - Can I work for an Agency and work as Sick/Holiday cover with an actual company? or am I an Idiot :unamused:

Hiya
You can work for both as long as you don’t go over your hours its your digi card and licence.Agencies are leeches but they are useful for experience, if your step father in law can get you on sick cover all the better as you know someone at the company not be a faceless number on an agency list.
