Hi all hope you can help with this 
me and a mate are thinking about direct advertising with local companies as an alternative to an agency. We would just be labour only subbies and would set up a ltd co and charge less than agencys we are both class 2 drivers.
any thoughts on our sanity and applicable rates would be really appreciated

helps if you post your location as rates do vary and what kind of work would you do ADR HIAB or 80 drops a day 
and can you afford to wait 3 months for payment or can you afford to take a customer to court if payment isnt forth coming and what happens when a customer needs an artic man

were in manchester area and just regular haulage nationwide with nights out if required
I would leave well alone mate…far too much hassle to end up losing money!!

Surely the “applicable rate” will be prescribed by your business plan, not the opinions of a bunch of drivers? You do have a business plan, don’t you…?
