Is it just me or is agency work in Central Scotland very quiet at the moment ? .
quiet mid week, not enough drivers around for fridays though. 4 calls last friday

i was in there last Friday. They offered me a shift there on Tuesday but its not worth it. I lose about £40 a day in there. The only upside is the fuel saving but it doesn’t cover that loss. £10.20 an hour tonight for 13 hours or 8 hours at whatever target pay. Hmmm!
I had one of Target’s finest driving my unit yesterday, he managed to damage the trailer & not tell anyone til I found it at 0400hrs this morning! Left with drivers window down all night & keys not handed in either!
Makes you think twice about having a day off! 
Target are a good bunch. They’ve helped me a lot and I’ve done a lot for them.
They were that desperate to get me out today that they were telling me to name my price…(C1 with all the extra tickets mind you)
They’re crying out for Hiab operators at the moment.

that’s very true and they are one of the better agencies i have worked for but the rates are too low and so are the hours. I could lose some of either but in not throwing away £200 just because they are a good bunch

I can agree on the comments on Target.
I’m now with Forde ADS. Pay I can’t complain about. Jobs, well I’m on a 4 on 4 off with the option of a 5th shift. I have to say this is the best agency that I have ever been with. No last min calls to say it’s off. They are looking for drivers that don’t take the p#ss and turn up when they are meant to and on time. Don’t know if I’m allowed to give out their contact details but here goes 01142760501, Martyn is the main man, Chris looks after the Scotland lads and lasses.
